iFilm English to premiere 'A Mother's Sacrifices'

In a new addition to its programming lineup, iFilm English channel is set to screen the series 'A Mother's Sacrifices' starting from December 12, 2023.

Produced by Zeinab Taqvaei and directed by Behrang Tofiqi, the inaugural episode is scheduled to air at 23:00 GMT, followed by three repeats on the subsequent day at 05:00, 11:00, and 17:00 (all GMT time).  

The storyline of 'A Mother's Sacrifices' explores the theme of forgiveness, revolving around the character Ateneh, who made the heartbreaking decision to abandon her three-month-old baby, leaving him in the care of his father, Khalil. However, as tragedy befalls their family, the dynamics take an unexpected turn.

Twenty years later, Ateneh reappears, determined to seek forgiveness for her past actions. Despite her efforts, Khalil struggles to find it within himself to forgive.

The series cast list includes Behnaz Jafari, late Atila Pesyani, Mehdi Soltani-Sarvestani, Behzad Farahani, Parivash Nazariyeh, Kambiz Dirbaz, Maryam Bobani, Majid Vasheqani, Hamid-Reza Hedayati, and Navid Khodashenas.

'A Mother's Sacrifices’, originally produced in 2016, serve as replacement for the series ‘The Forbidden Fruit’ directed by Hassan Fathi.
